Attending one of the biggest film festivals in the world for the past 15 years, Aishwarya has surely become the heart and soul of Cannes International Film Festival held every year. Each year she is seen in stunning elegant looks and keeps everyone in awe. This year was no different too. On her first day she graced the Cannes red carpet in a glittery beaded couture and once again proved that she is the Queen Of Bollywood. Her alluring gown was prepared by designer Ali Younes from Kuwait. A long cape was attached to her shoulders and it was the hero of her gown. Aishwarya went with a bold and smoky blue eye make-up and bold lashes.
Her next look was in a red ruffled gown designed by Naeem Khan for her press interactions on 14th morning. She went with her iconic waves for her hair, a simple eye make-up and a bright red lip colour.
Later on, before her red carpet appearance happening later that day, she opted for a Rohit Bal ensemble in golden and brown and a classy nude lip colour to go with it for the press conference and screening of her upcoming movie Sarbjit.
On the same day for her elegant walk on the Cannes 2016 red carpet, she wore a pleasing-to-the-eye gown designed by Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab. She went with a wavy hairstyle yet again and her signature Pure Brick shade from L’Oreal Paris Pure Reds Collection and a neat eye make-up.
Finally, for her last appearance at the2016 Cannes, Aishwarya charmed the red carpet with an off shoulder, beautifully embroidered gown designed by Rama Kudi. She went with a dark eye make-up and her hair-do was spot on. The only thing off about her look was that of her bright lavender lip colour which looked even brighter under the daylight and amongst all the camera flashes.
Although, Aishwarya has been criticized a lot for playing safe for her red carpet appearances and that she never takes risks when it comes to her looks but to break this myth, wearing a purple lipstick which doesn’t suit her attire at all is too risky.
